Lim Chong Boon is the Managing Director of Family Law and Dispute Resolution at PKWA Law. With over 25 years of experience before the Singapore courts, he oversees the strategic direction of the firm’s Family Law and General Litigation Practice Groups.Under his leadership, PKWA Law’s Family Law Practice Group has been consistently recognised as one of Singapore’s leading family law teams. Commercial & Civil Cases

Acting in protracted and highly complex litigation in the Singapore High Court of one of the largest corporate bond defaults in emerging markets history involving Asia Paper and Pulp. The claim was worth US$300 million and involved legal experts from the US and Indonesia, and decisions involving the Supreme Court of the State of New York and the Supreme Court of Indonesia (OCM Opportunities Fund II, LP and Others v Pt Indah Kiat Pulp & Paper Corporation and Another [2008] SGHC 73).
Advising the leading global operator of water services in employment matters and general corporate advice for its Asia Pacific office.
Acting for a government statutory board to obtain urgent interlocutory injunctions against occupiers for causing nuisance and breach of contract.
Acting for Jurong Town Corporation in property disputes and obtaining possession of property from errant tenants.
Acting for all 8 defendants in the High Court and Court of Appeal to successfully defend a US$27 million multi-cause of action claim for breach of contract, breach of agency, and conspiracy to defraud (Fornet Enterprise Co Ltd v Howell Universal Pte Ltd and Others [2006] SGHC 33).
Acting for Propnex, one of the largest property agency companies in Singapore, in an action against some of its former employees and agents for poaching its staff and for breach of contract.
Defending former students in a defamation suit brought by a trainer.
Acting for a US-listed MNC in litigation over the construction of a wafer fab plant in Singapore.
Acting for DBS Bank in the recovery of credit card and housing loans.
Acting for the Nominee to successfully seek bankruptcy protection under the Bankruptcy Act for two directors of TT International Ltd, a company listed on the Main Board of the Singapore Exchange Securities Trading Limited. This allowed the directors to resolve and restructure their personal liabilities of about $51 million arising out of corporate guarantees they had executed in connection with the company’s debts.
Acting for a major international hotel chain with respect to their dispute with a Singapore landlord;
Acting in the Singapore High Court in litigation with an international construction and engineering company over the construction of a plant. The case was one of the first in Singapore to involve the electronic discovery of documents stored in servers.

Family Law Cases

Chong Boon advises across the full range of family law matters, from uncontested divorces and negotiated settlements to complex and high-value family disputes. His practice encompasses matrimonial asset division, child custody and access issues, maintenance claims, cross-border family matters, and appellate-level family law work, including matters involving high-net-worth individuals and families.
